Molinara

Molinara is a red Italian wine grape grown primarily in the Veneto region of north eastern Italy. It adds acidity to the blends Valpolicella and Bardolino made with Corvina and Rondinella.

The wine's high propensity for oxidation, coupled with its low color extract, has caused a decline in favor and plantings among Venetian vineyards.

There has been debate about whether the grape is purple or blue.

This grape also blend beautifully with merlot to produce soft elegant roses.

Synonyms: Rossara, Rossanella, Brepon molinaro this grape is used to make very famous wine from valpolicella, amarone.amarone is basically a blend of corvina rondinela and molinara.
